Description

BrambleLash is a spritely local multiplayer co-opetition with team swapping action. Enchanted sprites band together to defeat slimey hordes, whilst plotting the demise of their teammates to clear the way to victory. Connect, co-operate or betray to win!

History

BrambleLash is the debut game from new development studio ByteSprite, and has been in part time development since late 2014. The original concept was born in a brainstorming session during a 48hr Global Game Jam, and since has been growing in the developers' heads. BrambleLash has been prototyped and demoed at a number of local events in Perth, constantly tweaked and refined based on player feedback throughout its entire development cycle. BrambleLash was shown at PAX Australia 2016 the Perth Games Festival - next stop, Toyko Game Show 2017!

Features

  • Succeed as a team, or fail alone! Link your thorny tether with a partner to destroy enemies. Co-operate in overcoming the Slime King and his hordes in Adventure mode.
  • Form temporary alliances, then betray your partner in the final moments to secure your own selfish victory in Battle mode.
  • A fluid co-op team system, allowing you to partner up then break ties for a tactical team reshuffle.
  • Pull your partner to safety or into danger with the press of a button.
  • Share a variety of powerups with your friends for amplified effect.
  • Simple controls and gameplay that can be picked up and understood in a matter of seconds. For both friends, family and frenemies alike!
  • A vibrant enchanted environment that responds to the movements and actions of the players and their slimey enemies.
